Careers Advice on Carers Information Day in Ballymena

The information stand will be in Ballymena for two reasons, says Glen Caring manager Linda Beckett. “It’s aimed at providing information to anyone thinking of a career in social care. But it also aims to offer advice and information on social care services, including Self Directed Support, which many people are struggling to understand.”

“Claire, William and Sheree will be there to answer any questions you may have about joining the Glen Caring team. We are looking for caring, compassionate and kind people who are looking to start a career in social care. You must be over 18 to join our team, have a driving licence and access to a car. If you fit these criteria, feel free to come along to chat to us and fill out an application form.”

Glen Caring offers full-time, part-time and casual posts for care assistants, says Linda.  “We offer flexible rotas, which may suit those who need the flexibility that a 9 to 5 job doesn’t offer. The care assistant posts are also open to those new to social care. Because we offer all the training you need, you don’t need previous experience to apply.”

“So come along and find out more about the job opportunities we offer and the training we provide to build your career in social care.” In the meantime, check out the latest vacancies on our website’s job opportunities page.

Care Services Advice on  Carers Information Day in Ballymena

Linda says the stand at Fairhill will also be offering information on the new systems of Self Directed Support (SDS) and Direct Payments for social care services. “A lot of people  are struggling to understand and access new forms of social care support.  We’ve been providing social care in this region since 1995. We are all too aware of the barriers people are facing accessing the new SDS system.”

“Our staff can help advise you on how to access the social care services you need for yourself or a family member. We can also help you to design your own care package, from the services you need. So come along to our Carers Information Day in Ballymena and find out more about  Glen Caring services too.”
